Challenge yourself or your kids to a hyper sport like Waterpolo. It’s a fun and healthy way to channel your energy, and you might discover new talent!
Our syllabus consists of three levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advance. Each tier is designed based on the difficulty of each swimming stroke. Swimming beginners start with the introduction of Freestyle first. We then move up to Backstroke, Breaststroke followed by Survival Strokes and more advanced swimming styles like the Butterfly. Lastly, we work on our swimmer’s speed and endurance for competitive swimming.

We conduct group swimming classes, small group private classes (2 to 4 children) and private swimming lessons for both children and adults all over Singapore.

Frequently Asked Questions
+ What if it rains?
Public Swimming Pool: In the event that it starts to rain before swimming classes, land practice, water safety theory or Q&A session may be conducted while waiting for the rain to stop. Pool session will resume as soon as the lightning alert is lifted. As such, please continue to come for class unless it is specifically cancelled at your chosen location in Singapore. Parents please kindly note that there will be no make-up nor pro-rate for absenteeism regardless of pool session taking place.
In the event that it rains during the lesson, depending on the amount of time left, the instructor may dismiss the class immediately, or run land practices until closer to dismissal time.
Condominiums: In the event that it starts to rain before our swimming classes, a time period will be given to wait for the rain to stop our swimming classes. Pool session will resume as soon as the rain stops. In the event that it rains during the lesson, depending on the severity of the weather, lessons will either continue or be cancelled with immediate effect.
+ Are your swim coaches certified?
Yes, all coaches under Odysseus Aquatics are either AUSTSWIM / Singapore Teacher’s Association (STA) / ASCTA (Swim Australia) or NROC certified.
All of them also have a valid CPR/AED license and/or lifesaving certificates
+ What is the minimum number to start a group class?
Public Swimming Pool:
5 to start and max at 10
Condominiums:
Learn to swim – 5 to start and max at 8
+ What do I need to bring?
Public Swimming Pool: Swimming Equipment such as Kickboards, Pull Buoys, Life Jackets, Hand Floats or Back Floats are provided during the lesson only. Students are required to bring their own Swimwear, Goggles, Cap and Clothing for swimming lessons if required.
Condominiums: Kickboards and Noodles are provided to students during sign up (inclusive in the registration fees). Kindly bring your equipment for classes.
+ What should I do if my child starts to cry?
If your child cries before or during swimming, it may not mean that he/she is not ready for lessons. They could be adjusting to the separation anxiety from you, or familiarizing with the new environment. Do give him/her some time and let him develop his confidence, and they will be enjoying their swimming classes very soon!
+ Do I need to be in the pool with my child?
No, there is no need for you to be in the pool with your child. However, you can definitely observe the class near the pool!
+ Can I put my 7-year-old child with his/her 4-year-old sibling?
At our swim school in Singapore, we slot our students based on their swim experience and abilities. Both siblings may possibly start off in the same class, but as the older child has a better physical build and understanding, he may progress faster than his younger sibling. During such situations, the more experienced child will then be promoted to another class to facilitate smoother learning.
+ My child is asthmatic, can he join your classes?
We will highly recommend a doctor’s advice as the severity of asthma varies from student to student.
+ Are there any trial lessons at your swim school that I can send my child to in Singapore?
Yes. We do provide a one-time swimming trial for new students. Trial classes are charged at $25 for all locations in Singapore. The trial class fees are non-inclusive of the month’s fees and if the child would like to continue with the class, the month’s fee will apply.
We highly recommend for students to sign up for a minimum of 1 month as longer exposure to the swim class will be a more accurate visualisation of how a child responds to the swimming lessons.
How long does it take for my child to be able to swim? It is subjected to individual students based on their physical abilities and their fear of water. Generally, older children will take a shorter time to learn as compared to younger ones as they have a stronger understanding ability.
+ Are there any make-up swimming classes or pro-rate for missed classes?
Woodlands Swimming Complex / Queenstown Swimming Complex:We do not provide any replacement classes due to absenteeism at any of our locations in Singapore. Classes will be replaced only if the lesson is cancelled by Odysseus Aquatics.
Condominiums:We do not provide any replacement classes nor pro-rate for non-explained absenteeism.
In the event that your child is ill, we will provide a make-up session for every lesson missed. A Medical Certificate covering the lesson day is compulsory in order to qualify for the make-up.
In the event of rain, every two back-to-back cancelled swimming lessons will entitle one make-up class.
In the event of the child going on holiday, one make-up lesson will be arranged for every two back-to-back missed swimming lessons. Parents will be required to inform the swim school at least 2 weeks in advance in order to qualify for the make-up class at the preferred location in Singapore.
