Swimming A Proper Front Crawl (Freestyle)

Swimming a proper front crawl is not difficult, yet it is not easy either. Many of our children struggle with swimming a correct stroke, mostly because they do not have a clear visualisation of how each body movement should be.

At Odysseus Aquatics, we develop the stroke based on the BLABC sequence - Body, Legs, Arms, Breathing and Coordination. Before we move on to the Legs movement, it is essential that the body has been trained to stay in a naturally streamlined position.

In this video, students can observe the slowed down movements for a front crawl swim. During our Dryland Training, pockets of time are put away for such video watching and discussions for the must-see criteria in each stroke.

These are wonderful education material and we e hope you will find these videos that we share as useful as us!
